Box of Dreams is a six-year program of JCI Legazpi to significantly reduce or achieve zero drop-out rate among pupils in Buraguis Elementary School, which prior to the program had the highest drop-out rate in Legazpi City at 56% based on records of DepEd.

Box of Dreams is characterized by the plain white box with a printed label of BOX OF DREAMS, each kid in the beneficiary school will draw/write what they want to be when they grow up on its cover as shown in attached photos. The BOX OF DREAMS will be given to the students near the end of the school year for them to draw their dreams, during the summer JCI Legazpi and its partners will find donors for the kids, donors will then supply one year school supplies to the kids from a list provided by JCI Legazpi, based on recommendations of the school.

Aside from providing School Materials, donors are required to write an inspiring message inside the boxes encouraging the kid to continue with their schooling and pursue their dreams. At the start of the school year, the boxes will then be given back to the kids as they go to school.

That way we can keep track of their return to school, at the same time motivate them to go back to school knowing they have new school supplies for the year.
