The event began with a kit claiming day on June 29, 2024 at SM Mall, followed by a race briefing to ensure the safety and success of the riders.
The bike challenge took place on June 30, 2024, starting at 5 AM from Nuestra Sra de Salvacion in Brgy. Tamaoyan, Legazpi City. It saw participation from 660 cyclists, including locals and riders from various parts of the Philippines. Notably, the event was joined by renowned vloggers and YouTube sensations like Ion Perez, Team Cruz and the Lopez family, adding to its appeal and reach.
The primary aim of the Mayon 360 Bike Challenge is to promote tourism in Albay, showcasing the province as a prime destination for sports tourism. The event highlights Albay’s picturesque destinations, sights, delicacies, and unique local foods.
